TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto stated that he would continue the program that had been planned by the previous TNI Commander, General Gatot Nurmantyo, which is the synchronization of forces against national development.
“So, there are 5 priority programs are development in Natuna, Tarakan, Morotai, Biak, Merauke and Selaru I will continue because it is in line with the development program that has been proclaimed by President Joko Widodo,” said Hadi told reporters after his inauguration as Commander of TNI by President Joko Widodo, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (8/12) afternoon.
Regarding the mutation in the ranks of the TNI high command, the TNI Commander asserted that the mutation is a rule. He mentions, the rule based on the existing Jukmin is when the personnel have served 2 years, then it is necessary for the official in order to support the main task, support the vision and mission of the leadership.
Meanwhile, regarding the main weapon system equipment (alutsista), TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto stated that the weaponry owned by TNI is currently based on MEF (Minimum Essential Force) which is now included in the second Strategic Plan (Renstra) 2014-2019 .
“So we just wait there are some that must be met, such as the fulfillment of fighter aircraft, radar, and submarine, that we are waiting for. So the second restra is expected, if the first restra share is 30%, 30%, and 40% so everything is 100, and now we are waiting for the realization until 2019 later the second restra has reached 30%, “explained Hadi.
Related to the General Election, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto asserted that TNI together with other components with the Police will always be neutral on the course of the election.
