After being unanimously approved in the plenary session of the House of Representatives on Thursday (7/12) yesterday, Air Force Chief of Staff (HSA) Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto was officially inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as TNI Commander in place of General Gatot Nurmantyo at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (8/12) afternoon.
The inauguration ceremony begins with the singing of the national anthem of Indonesia Raya, followed by the reading of Presidential Decree No. 83 / TNI / 2017 on the Dismissal and Appointment of the TNI Commander by the Presidential Military Secretary, the embarkation of rank and rank by the President, and the taking of the oath which reads:
“By Allah I swear, that I am to be appointed to this office, whether directly or indirectly, by any appearance or pretext for not giving or accepting will give anything to anyone. That I will not accept a gift or a gift of any kind from anyone I know or should be able to suppose that he has the thing or may be concerned with my position or occupation. That I will always uphold the oath of soldiers “.
Following the swearing-in, the signing of the minutes was witnessed by Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu and National Police Chief Gen Tito Karnavian.
The inauguration of the TNI Commander was concluded by singing the national anthem of Indonesia Raya, and the delivery of speech during which was started by President Jokowi accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo.
